Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Management:
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and contractual requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of materials, workmanship, and construction processes.
• Identify potential quality issues early and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure that work meets quality and specification standards.
• Review and ensure that all quality control documentation is maintained accurately.
• Cost Management:
• Prepare cost estimates and detailed financial reports for construction projects.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled within the set limits.
• Assess and monitor the impact of changes on the project budget and propose cost-effective alternatives when necessary.
• Provide accurate valuation reports and final accounts.
• Procurement and Contract Management:
• Assist in the preparation and management of tender documentation.
• Evaluate bids from contractors and suppliers, ensuring they align with project quality and budgetary requirements.
• Support contract negotiation and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Project Coordination:
• Work closely with the project management team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Provide regular progress reports on quality, cost, and timeline to project stakeholders.
• Oversee and ensure that the safety and regulatory compliance standards are maintained on-site.
• Conduct site visits and collaborate with the project team to resolve issues promptly.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and evaluate risks related to quality, cost, and scope, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Monitor risk management procedures and ensure corrective actions are taken where necessary.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain up-to-date records and reports for all quality inspections, audits, and cost assessments.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting key risks, issues, and changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., MRICS, RICS, etc.) would be advantageous.
• years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Quality Surveyor, with a strong background in construction project management.
• In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, quality assurance procedures, and cost estimation techniques.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, processes, and technologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?75,000.00 per month
