Role and Responsibilities:
• Quality Inspection:
• Perform detailed inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies using appropriate measuring tools and techniques to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Ensure that the products meet quality standards through physical and visual checks.
• Testing and Evaluation:
• Conduct regular tests on products to assess their performance, durability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues by analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all quality inspections, tests, and audits.
• Prepare quality control reports, highlighting non-conformities and improvement areas.
• Process Improvement:
• Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process.
• Implement quality control measures to reduce defects and enhance production efficiency.
• Supplier Quality Management:
• Assess the quality of incoming materials from suppliers and ensure they meet the required standards.
• Work with suppliers to resolve any quality-related issues.
• Compliance and Standards:
• Ensure that all products and processes comply with industry-specific standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, ASTM, etc.).
• Conduct internal audits to ensure the quality management system (QMS) is adhered to.
• Training and Support:
• Provide training and guidance to production and other team members on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Assist in the development and improvement of quality standards and protocols.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Participate in initiatives for continuous improvement, such as Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing practices.
• Suggest modifications to enhance product quality and reduce waste in the manufacturing process.
