This department works closely with both our internal and external customers to ensure FLSmidth equipments on time delivery and customer satisfaction.RoleThis position is essential to manage the Manufacturing Quality vertical for Central Quality Structure ensuring the successful delivery of business strategy, Key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.You will be starting as Quality Expert responsible for Supplier, Incoming and In-process quality. This role will report to the Warehouse operation head. Some of the manufacturing processes that we deal with are metal cutting, preparation, Machining, Fabrication, Painting And assembly line for various Mining products which are supplier to domestic and international customers. This role will also take care of the complete quality planning and execution of new products transfer from other international manufacturing facilities to India. Based on the successful performance, eventually this role will grow as the Quality lead for Manufacturing Facility.Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring 100% quality through sampling of WIP, finished products and packaging material during various stages of production.
  • Responsible for establishing the processes (&IMS process and its sustenance) for ensuring the standardization of manufacturing process steps at the shop floor in terms of minimum number of deviations from quality norms in the WIP and the finished product.
  • All the QA related process of training the people for quality work, SOPs for work, Systems for RIGHT FIRST TIME quality to be developed, impart training, and then demand and monitoring the compliance of processes.
  • Develop and improve the supplier quality systems to meet our standards, take decisions on suppliers that are not performing.
  • Leading various quality audits to ensure that the process compliance is adhered
  • Ensure that only trained welders (Inhouse / Supplier) are put on line for correct job and correct skill level. Refresher training of welders is carried out.
  • Responsible for evaluating customer complaints as per the quality parameters and resolving the same in minimum possible time.
What you bring
  • Strong Experience and passion for Inhouse / Supplier quality and implementing processes across the Manufacturing units.
  • Experience in quality control/quality analysis organization or leading cross- functional quality improvement projects and teams.
  • Conversant with ASME Sec IX, Sec V, SEX VIII Div1 and other relevant EN, AWS & IS fabrication codes & Standards. (Familiar with ASMT, EN & IS material standards.)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred (green belt)
  • Lead / Internal Auditor in ISO 9001:2015 standard.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a rapidly changing and extremely global team.
  • Excellent English communication skills both written/verbal (Hindi added advantage)
  • Strong critical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of breaking down a complex process and identifying key pain points in order to deliver business improvements at the regional or global level.

Education QualificationGraduate in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical) from a reputed university.Experience15-20 years experience in Quality Control, Heavy Manufacturing, Construction Equipment IndustryWhat we offer
