Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our machined parts throughout the production process.
This role involves collaborating closely with production teams, suppliers, and customers to maintain and improve product quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform quality inspections and checks on machined parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement quality control plans (QCPs) and inspection procedures for machining operations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) for non-conforming parts or quality issues.
• Utilize measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and optical comparators to verify dimensional accuracy and surface finish of machined parts.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and evaluations to ensure supplier compliance with quality requirements.
• Provide training and support to production personnel on quality standards, inspection techniques, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in new product development projects, providing input on design for manufacturability (DFM) and quality requirements.
• Maintain documentation related to quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, CAPAs, and quality records.
Qualifications:
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, OR Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in machining or precision manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 or similar) and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
• Hands-on experience with measurement equipment and inspection techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
