: Quality Engineer ( CIVIL DEPT. )

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer (Civil) to ensure that our construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance:

- Develop and implement quality plans and procedures for construction projects.

- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.

2. Quality Control:

- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality

standards.

- Perform quality control inspections of materials and workmanship.

3. Collaboration and Technical Support:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including construction, engineering, and procurement.

- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on quality-related matters.

4. Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and submit regular reports on quality performance and issues.

- Maintain accurate records of quality-related documentation, including test results and inspection reports.

Project Lifecycle Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Construction:

- Review and understand construction plans, specifications, and drawings.

- Participate in site investigations and data collection.

- Assist with preparing material estimates and cost calculations.

2. Construction:

- Monitor construction activities for compliance with plans and specifications.

- Perform quality control inspections of materials and workmanship.

- Identify and report any safety hazards or discrepancies to the Resident Engineer.

3. Post-Construction:

- Assist with punch list items and final inspections.

- Prepare as-built drawings and documentation.

- Help close out project paperwork and contracts.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

1. Technical Knowledge:

- Strong understanding of construction materials and methods.

- Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.

2. Quality Management:

- Ability to develop and implement quality plans and procedures.

- Knowledge of quality control inspection techniques.

3. Communication and Teamwork:

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

4. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to identify and report quality-related issues.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / D.C.E or related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in the construction industry.

First Preference for industrial construction experience.
