Relocation Assistance AvailableRole Definition:
The Caterpillar Large Power Systems Division is seeking a Quality Engineer who will focus on supporting our quality and warranty processes for the division. This role makes an impact by ensuring warranty results are aligned to forecasts, that claims are valid and accurate and supporting our service engineering teams as they investigate product issues that may require engineering intervention. The role also has a unique opportunity to support the development and maintenance of visualization tools such as Tableau and Microsoft power apps used in the day to day operations of analyzing and reviewing quality and warranty data.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Execute multiple daily, weekly and monthly processes in support of warranty analysis and reporting
  • Develop monthly reports and present information to key stakeholders
  • Support the maintenance, usage and development of auxiliary tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Power apps to support warranty analysis and investigative tasks
  • Collaborate with product service engineers to address warranty issues
  • Interact with global warranty team to recommend warranty debits/rejections
Requirements:
- Bachelor\'s degree in a data science or data analytics background or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft power apps
- Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques, including data mining and
statistical analysis methods
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques
- Experience with SQL and other databases for querying and extracting data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
