We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.Title: Quality EngineerPosition DescriptionThe Quality Engineer is responsible for improving state-of-the-art build, test and environment provisioning in SPE software solutions through application of the automation discipline. This includes delivery of scalable automation capabilities consistent with our testing methodologies, target environment specifications and quality management practices. This role will develop the continuous delivery platform, manage the resulting automation workflows, and work alongside product development teams to leverage automation in our solution offerings.Primary Position Responsibilities

  • Participate in authoring a comprehensive continuous delivery roadmap; identify high-value use cases for build and test automation; champion the roadmap and secure organizational buy-in for implementation.
  • Deliver a \xe2\x80\x9cself-service\xe2\x80\x9d capability for product development team use, where code moves from repository check-in to automated test and deployment within built-for-purpose integration environments; this capability will instantiate concepts such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment and Continuous Infrastructure Automation.
  • Design, implement and maintain a framework for authoring and executing automated test scripts within the self-service capability; instruct and assist others in use of the framework.
  • Maintain and steward Digital Health source code repositories.
  • Work alongside the product development and platform teams to understand pain-points and continuously improve Digital Health software automation capabilities.
  • Partner with Digital Health platform security engineers to identify and mitigate potential cybersecurity threats to the development/test/production cloud environments as well as mobile application (app) builds.
  • Author, maintain and execute relevant standard operating processes following Lilly quality management system (QMS) processes.
  • Use standardized software development lifecycle processes and drive improvements to these processes resulting in higher project-level quality, efficiency, repeatability, and control.
Basic Position skill Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Associates Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5-6 Years\xe2\x80\x99 experienced professional required.
  • Professional experience delivering software solutions that span the development life cycle; i.e., project initiation, design, development, testing, deployment, support, and retirement.
  • Understanding of load and Performance Testing.
  • Expertise with Object Oriented Programming, data serialization, REST APIs, and software code version control.
  • Strong experience developing in python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or RESTful API testing.
  • Strong experience using GitHub and JIRA.
  • Mandate Experience using test automation tools like Rest Assured, pytest, Postman, Selenium, VS Code, Appium, Cucumber, WebdriverIO and node.js.
  • Relevant work experience in software test automation framework development.
  • Experience with AWS or other Cloud technologies.
  • Experience or knowledge on Machine learning and open-source AI models
  • Experience with Continuous Integration systems (e.g., GitHub Actions).
  • Practical knowledge of Agile software development concepts and associated implementations.
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and how to effectively deliver software within the processes and expectations of those systems
Additional Skills/Preferences
  • Experience developing and/or supporting Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to \xe2\x80\x9clive in the gray space\xe2\x80\x9d -- when process and direction does not dictate an ideal course of action \xe2\x80\x93 and make reasonable, risk-based decisions that keep projects on track.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team building skills.
  • Familiarity with software build automation and containerization technologies, e.g., GitHub Actions, Puppet, Cher, Docker, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD)..
  • High level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective, and innovation interest
  • Previous experience working in the Pharmaceutical Industry and/or environments regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration.
