Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join our team at our production facility in Sitapura, Jaipur. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards for a variety of home decor products, including curtains, rugs, bed sheets, pillow covers, fitted sheets , and other home textile and decor items. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in quality inspection, testing, and reporting, with a strong understanding of textile and fabric manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Inspection : Inspect finished home decor products, including curtains, rugs, bed sheets, pillow covers, fitted sheets, and other home textiles for quality, functionality, aesthetics, and compliance with company standards and client specifications.
• Quality Assurance : Conduct systematic checks and tests on raw materials (fabrics, threads, dyes, etc.), semi-finished, and finished goods to ensure adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
• Defect Identification & Reporting : Identify defects such as colour mismatches, fabric flaws, stitching issues, or size discrepancies. Document and report findings to production and design teams for corrective actions.
• Sampling and Testing : Perform random sampling of products for both visual inspection and functional testing (e.g., fabric durability, shrinkage tests, wash fastness, colourfastness, etc.).
• Vendor/Factory Audits : Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that materials (e.g., fabrics, threads, dyes) meet our quality guidelines. Conduct vendor audits as needed.
• Compliance & Standards : Ensure that all products meet relevant industry standards and regulations, including safety standards for textiles, environmental considerations, and certifications (e.g., ISO, OEKO-TEX).
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, corrective actions, and product performance. Generate quality control reports (weekly/monthly) for management review.
• Continuous Improvement : Work closely with the production, design, and R&D teams to identify opportunities for process improvement. Recommend adjustments or changes to improve quality and efficiency.
• Customer Complaints Handling : Address quality-related customer complaints and work with the customer service team to resolve product issues or returns related to quality concerns.
• Training : Assist in training production staff on quality standards, best practices, and inspection techniques for home decor products.

Key Requirements

• Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in the home decor or textiles industry (specifically dealing with products like curtains, bed linens, rugs, and other fabric-based home decor items).
• Knowledge :
• Strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes (weaving, dyeing, finishing, etc.) and quality control techniques specific to home decor items.
• Familiarity with fabric testing procedures (e.g., durability, shrinkage, colourfastness).
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to textiles and home decor products.
• Skills :
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify flaws in materials, stitching, and overall product quality.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools (e.g., rulers, callipers) and testing equipment for textiles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to assess product aesthetics (e.g., colour consistency, pattern alignment) as well as functionality (e.g., durability, fit).
• Education : A Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering , Industrial Engineering , Quality Assurance , or a related field is preferred.
• Soft Skills :
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to convey quality issues and solutions to the team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Additional Requirements :
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel to supplier or manufacturing sites as needed.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) or data analysis .
• Certification in Quality Management, Six Sigma, or related methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma Green Belt).
• Familiarity with ERP or quality management software.
