Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting products, materials, and processes during production to ensure that they meet required specifications and quality standards. This role involves performing tests, identifying defects, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to improve product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Product Inspection:
• Inspect raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products for defects or deviations from specifications.
• Measure product dimensions, weight, and other relevant characteristics using tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges.
• Conduct visual inspections to detect surface defects, cosmetic flaws, and functional issues.
• Perform non-destructive testing (e.g., visual, auditory, or mechanical checks) to assess product quality.
• Compliance with Standards:
• Ensure products adhere to internal and external quality standards, including industry-specific regulations (e.g., ISO, FDA, ASTM).
• Verify that all products comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain awareness of changes in quality standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Record and document inspection results and non-conformance issues in inspection reports.
• Create and maintain detailed records of product testing, quality audits, and corrective actions taken.
• Report inspection findings to supervisors and other stakeholders, providing detailed feedback on defects and quality concerns.
• Compile and analyze quality data to identify trends, areas for improvement, or recurring issues.
• Quality Control Procedures:
• Perform regular audits of the production process to ensure quality control procedures are followed consistently.
• Enforce quality control protocols and collaborate with production teams to address any quality-related issues.
• Recommend improvements to the quality control process based on inspection findings and industry best practices.
• Collaboration with Production Teams:
• Work closely with production teams to identify root causes of defects or quality issues and suggest corrective actions.
• Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities when quality issues arise.
• Assist with training operators and other employees on quality standards, inspection techniques, and defect prevention.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
• Suggest process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce waste or defects.
• Keep up to date with new quality control tools, technologies, and industry trends.
• Safety and Cleanliness:
• Ensure that inspections are carried out in a safe environment and follow all workplace safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, ensuring that inspection tools and equipment are well-maintained and calibrated.
Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree or certification in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field may be preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in quality control or manufacturing is highly preferred, especially in a similar industry (e.g., automotive, electronics)
