A quality engineer's job is to ensure that products meet quality standards and are manufactured efficiently. Some of their responsibilities include:
Defining quality standards : Establishing the quality standards that products should meet
Developing testing methods : Creating methods to measure product quality
Identifying and fixing issues : Identifying and solving problems with the manufacturing process and products
Monitoring production : Monitoring the entire production cycle to look for malfunctions and productivity issues
Updating quality management systems : Updating the Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, repairs, and improvements
Preparing reports : Preparing reports on quality issues and improvements
Collaborating with operations managers : Working with operations managers to identify opportunities for improvement
Reviewing systems and processes : Reviewing systems and processes to develop improvements and efficiencies
