Job Description

The Quality Control Chemist plays a critical role in ensuring that products and processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position involves both Quality Assurance (QA), which focuses on preventing defects, and Quality Control (QC), which involves identifying and correcting defects, also ensuring the quality and safety of our cosmetic products through thorough testing and analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished cosmetic products using analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and wet chemistry methods.
• Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of samples in accordance with established procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO, GMP).
• Evaluate and interpret analytical data to ensure product quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications and standards.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues, deviations, and out-of-specification results, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results, observations, and laboratory activities, following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to support product development, scale-up, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the development and validation of analytical methods for new products and formulations.
• Participate in the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and analytical systems.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in cosmetics quality control and analytical chemistry.
• Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all laboratory personnel.

Key Skills & Competencies Required :

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry / Pharma / Cosmetics.
• Strong knowledge of cosmetic chemistry, formulation principles, and regulatory requirements for cosmetics.
• Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and wet chemistry methods.
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a cosmetic manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision in laboratory work.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?70,000.00 per month
