About the Role
We are seeking experienced Quality & Compliance Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for Hard Goods to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our hard goods (such as furniture, home appliances, tools, and other durable goods) meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, supply chain, and regulatory bodies, to maintain compliance with global and regional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure hard goods comply with relevant regional safety, quality, and environmental regulations
Testing & Certification:
Develop, implement, and oversee testing protocols to meet brand standards. Work with third-party labs for testing and quality validation.
Quality Assurance:
Establish and maintain quality control processes throughout the product lifecycle, including supplier audits, risk assessments, and inspections.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate compliance records, create technical documentation, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with product development, sourcing, and legal teams to ensure compliance is integrated into product design and production.
Training & Advisory:
Provide guidance and training to internal teams on compliance best practices and emerging regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
Minimum 5+ years in quality assurance, compliance, or regulatory affairs in the hard goods industry.
Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of hard goods manufacturing, testing, and certification processes.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Familiarity with international standards such as IS, IEC, ISO, UL, CE, RoHS, REACH
Problem-Solving:
Ability to analyze complex compliance issues and implement practical solutions.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field preferred.
