Position Overview:
As the Quality Head - Procurement Department , you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained across all procurement activities. You will lead the quality assurance efforts, establish policies, and ensure that materials and products sourced meet the company's specifications and compliance standards. Your role is crucial in supporting Valeur's mission of providing quality-driven skill development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the quality assurance process within the procurement department.
• Develop, implement, and monitor procurement quality policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure materials meet company and regulatory standards.
• Conduct quality audits and supplier performance evaluations.
• Ensure all procured materials are aligned with industry standards and project requirements.
• Lead the team in maintaining the documentation of quality standards and compliance.
• Manage risk assessment, control mechanisms, and continuous improvement processes in procurement.
• Resolve quality-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Train and mentor procurement team members on quality standards and procedures.
• Coordinate with various departments to align procurement quality with overall business objectives.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Quality Control, Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a quality control or quality assurance role.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and quality assurance principles.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements in procurement.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office and procurement management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in skill development or vocational training sectors.
• Familiarity with the socio-economic landscape of North-East India.
