: Quality Assurance (QA) Officer - Pharmaceutical Industry

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to ensure that all products meet quality and regulatory standards in the pharmaceutical industry. The QA Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS):

Develop, implement, and maintain QMS as per regulatory standards.

Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GMP and SOPs.

Documentation and Records:

Review and approve batch manufacturing records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other documentation.

Ensure all records are accurate, complete, and retained as per regulatory guidelines.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with national and international regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EU GMP, WHO).

Assist with regulatory inspections and audits.

Quality Control Coordination:

Work closely with the Quality Control team to investigate and resolve quality issues.

Ensure effective root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

Product Testing:

Oversee product sampling and testing to ensure compliance with specifications.

Evaluate stability studies and product shelf-life data.

Training and Development:

Provide training to employees on quality standards, GMP, and SOPs.

Promote a culture of quality within the organization.

Deviation and Change Control Management:

Investigate deviations, identify trends, and implement CAPA.

Manage changes in processes, equipment, and facilities in compliance with QMS.

Supplier/Third-Party Audits:

Evaluate and approve suppliers and third-party contractors.

Conduct audits to ensure the quality of raw materials and outsourced processes.

Key Skills and Competencies

Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, and regulatory guidelines (FDA, WHO, EU GMP).

Proficiency in quality management systems and documentation.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance in the pharmaceutical industry.

Familiarity with software tools for quality documentation and audits is a plus.
