We are currently looking for a talented Manual Quality Tester to join our team and contribute to ensuring the quality of Shopify-based projects, with a focus on backend testing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manual Testing: Perform manual testing of Shopify eCommerce websites, with a strong focus on backend functionality, including database testing, APIs, integrations, and server-side logic.
• Test Case Development: Design, document, and execute detailed test cases for backend features and functionalities of Shopify-based websites. Ensure that test scenarios are aligned with the project requirements.
• Backend Testing: Test backend systems, including APIs, database functionality, and server-side logic. Verify data integrity between the frontend and backend systems to ensure seamless operations.
• Bug Identification & Reporting: Identify, report, and track bugs, issues, and discrepancies found during testing. Provide clear and actionable feedback to developers to fix issues effectively.
• Integration Testing: Ensure that third-party integrations, payment gateways, and Shopify apps are working as expected. Perform backend testing to verify data flows correctly between systems.
• Performance & Load Testing: Perform manual testing for performance and load issues related to Shopify backend and database under different scenarios. Ensure the platform can handle high traffic volumes effectively.
• Regression Testing: Perform regression testing on newly implemented features to ensure they don't negatively affect existing functionalities.
• Collaboration with Development Team: Work closely with developers to review the functionality and resolve any discrepancies. Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and review meetings to provide feedback and ensure quality.
• Documenting Results: Maintain proper documentation of test results, including test cases, issues, and defect reports. Update test scenarios and cases as needed based on project requirements and changes.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in manual software testing, with a focus on backend testing for eCommerce platforms, particularly Shopify.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with backend testing, including databases (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.), API testing (using tools like Postman), and server-side validation.
• Familiarity with Shopify platform architecture, themes, and customization.
• Ability to create detailed and comprehensive test cases.
• Proficiency in defect tracking tools like Jira or similar.
• Experience in testing eCommerce functionalities such as product management, cart systems, checkout processes, and payment gateways.
• Good understanding of website performance, load testing, and optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a passion for ensuring the highest quality of work.
• Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
• Experience in testing RESTful APIs and familiarity with API testing tools.
• Previous experience with Shopify themes and third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, shipping APIs).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
