Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow \xe2\x80\x93 all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible.Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Software Quality and AutomationIND-Pune - WeikfieldAt PTC Kepware, our technologies have a reputation for \xe2\x80\x9cQuality in everything we do\xe2\x80\x9d and are valued in the market accordingly.Position is responsible for quality operations of the Automation and Tooling team at Pune, including processes, and training software quality and automation staff; participate in release regression testing activities and conformance with established quality release criteria; Acting Manager/Coordinator for dedicated automation staff both full-time and consulting and help teams overcome testing challenges; identify/refine improvements around automation infrastructure for DevOps teams; advocate for new practices which will increase quality and/or efficiency of producing software; help team align on automation direction; help establish quality metrics for Release Criteria; monitor quality metrics and help teams achieve them prior to release; mentor engineers and collaborate with other leaders; lead training opportunities around testing; build relationships and ensure alignment with other quality areas around the company; lead department initiatives and improvements; lead consulting efforts.We are looking for an initiative-taking individual with exceptional talent ready to join the Kepware team in Pune leading a team of engineers to support the creation of best-in-class industrial automation products by ensuring our automation and tooling systems are reliable, robust and scalable.This role is responsible for both technical and people management responsibilities for a cross-function team of software and quality engineers, with a broad focus on quality, tooling, automation, training, and non-functional testing like performance testing.The manager influences and collaborates with others to solve problems. Individuals in this role bring together technical experience, people leadership skills, and an understanding of the business of building software to positively influence the product, team, and company.The successful candidate has lots of hands-on testing and test automation experience and understands and advocates for the role that quality plays in the SDLC. They will spend their time analyzing the quality practices of the teams, identifying areas for improvement, and working to implement changes around those areas which will include coaching and training of other engineering staff, developing tools, people management and servant leadership activities. As a member of the leadership team, they will broadly contribute to the smooth running of the department alongside other managers. They prioritize keeping the team focused on delivering features and clearing impediments.Day-To-Day:

• Servant Leadership to help their team overcome testing challenges, stay focused on product delivery, and operate in an agile manner.
• Lead a team to develop new tools, enhance existing Automation and tools, advocate for new practices which will increase quality and/or efficiency of producing software.
• Identify/refine improvements in automation infrastructure.
• Help teams align on automation direction.
• Work closely with Technical Product Management to ensure acceptance criteria is clearly defined and ready to go.
• Contribute expertise to continually make their team and department better in day-to-day work as well as broader department goals.
• Manage the career development for your team, providing opportunities for innovation and stretch assignments as needed.
• Mentor engineers, lead training opportunities and collaborate with other leaders.
• Lead department initiatives, consulting efforts and improvements

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

• A strong understanding of testing methodologies including unit, integration, functional, UAT, interoperability, scalability, usability, performance, and security test design.
• Experience working with software Technologies and scripting languages like C#, Python, Powershell etc.
• Ability and experience utilizing effective quality metrics to help teams improve.
• Advocating for quality practices and process improvements
• Software Tools: Automated Testing Frameworks, Jira, Confluence, Test case management tool like TFS, Microsoft Office suite etc.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills. Able to analyze large-scale, complex systems incorporating application software, 3rd party libraries, hardware, operating systems, and networks and determine root cause.
• Familiar with common security vulnerabilities such as the OWASP Top 10
• An understanding of Agile principles, Agile processes, Test driven development, and continuous integration.

• Experience using effective metrics and innovative tools to help teams improve.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field.
• 7+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in software quality assurance or an information technology field
• 2+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience mentoring, leading, or managing other engineers.
