As an IT Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible to implement best practices and maintain top-tier standards in product design, spanning both the testing and support functions. By overseeing quality assurance in both development and maintenance phases, the manager will identify opportunities and lessons to enhance product delivery, performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. The Quality Assurance Manager is accountable for establishing all test criteria for products during the build and implementation phases of new or existing product designs and enhancements. This includes designing tests tailored to customer requirements and ensuring all variables are addressed before sign-off.ABOUT THE ROLE

  • To liaise with Study Group compliance team on maintaining all compliance standards needed under various ISO accreditations for test, support and QA.
  • Hold the business to high standards on quality of design, build, test and maintenance of all programmes both active and potential.
  • To design, implement and maintain best in class test processes for all programs.
  • Establish and lead high performing teams that are fully engaged with the associated Study Group businesses, for test, quality and support.
  • Line Management responsibility for one or more role types, including recruitment, learning and development, regular performance reviews and associated career development plans.
  • Ensure all team members make a significant contribution by proactively addressing any underperformance, rewarding good performance, and nurturing talent.
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1s to assess wellbeing and progress of direct reports.
  • Coach and train direct reports to ensure a continuous cycle of progression and advancement.
  • Set and assist with goals for staff Outcomes and the wider support service - Performance Management.
  • Continually identify gaps and shortcomings in support service and develop solutions to improve.
  • Liaise with all Delivery Teams to articulate customer affecting issues and to ensure customer service levels are maintained at all times.
  • Continue to develop knowledge and keep abreast of changes with the core products.
  • Escalation point for direct reports - advice on handing technical matters and queries.
  • Ensure internal documentation and processes are updated and adhered to.
  • Monitor key resources and identify threshold points for increasing or decreasing capacity.
  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained on all necessary test and quality assurance standards as needed in the delivery of their roles.
  • Liaising with internal personnel and Senior Management on resolution status.
  • Ensure all delivery activities including risk and issue management are being performed to standards
ABOUT YOU
  • Experience in Agile, CI/CD. Previous role as a Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Foundation level ISTQB qualified, QA Certifications and/or Equivalent
  • A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Expert in all areas of QA leading development, executing manual testing ensuring world class quality products and knowledge of QA tools and processes.
  • Highly experienced in QA process ownership, definition and ensuring adoption by delivery teams.
  • Proven experience in implementing Defect prevention techniques.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of latest QA technologies and trends
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously, while balancing business priorities and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss, and explain issues coherently and logically, both in writing and verbally.
  • Implement and maintain KPIs on performance of team and risks/opportunities across each programme.
