Job Description

We are looking of a

Quality Assurance Line inspector

for a Food industry located in Derabassi ( Punjab)

Qualification: B.tech ( Food technology)

Experience: 0 to 2 years

Location: Derabassi ( Punjab)

Key Responsibilities

:

1.

Operational Management:



- Manage day-to-day operations in the Receiving & Raw meat areas, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.

- Maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GHP (Good Hygiene Practices) on the floor before start up and at shift closure.

- Meet daily planned targets for meat cuts & inspections

2.

Food Safety and Quality:



- Ensure strict compliance with food safety standards, quality regulations, and company policies.

- Oversee all online Quality Assurance (QA) checks, ensure compliance with standards, and timely completion and submission of documentation.

- Maintain complete meat traceability issued to production; supplier wise and meet the customer requirements for all meat types

- Maintain systematic and correct batch coding systems across all relevant areas and storages

- Authorized to HOLD issue of any raw meat, which does not comply to the quality and safety standards and immediately escalating the issue to the Line Manager and QA Head

3.

Team Leadership:



- Lead, guide, and manage a team of all relevant food handlers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

- Provide regular training and develop opportunities to enhance team capabilities and improve food handler retention rate

4.

Process Improvement:



- Identify and address inefficiencies in operations to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and maintain consistent product quality.

- Drive initiatives to optimize yields and minimize thawing and processing losses. (Ensure First in first out for all meats and no meat supply should be in the chillers for more than 36hrs)

5.

Compliance and Audits:



- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, company policies, and customer standards.

- Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring a high level of compliance.

6.

Communication:



- Collaborate effectively with other Line inspectors, Line manager, QA, and Engineering, to ensure streamlined operations.

- Communicate updates, challenges, and solutions to relevant departments promptly.

7.

Training and Development:



- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for production staff to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively.

- Monitor training effectiveness and provide additional support as needed.

8.

Budgeting and Cost Control:



- Control and reduce wastages, spoilages, and processing costs through effective planning

- Implement and enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) practices to ensure optimal inventory management.

- Monitor and maintain yield standards, implementing improvements to reduce cost inefficiencies
