Our clientele includes Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies.Designation - Quality AnalystReporting to Assistant ManagerRole- Certified Coding Auditor- Multi SpecialityMedical Coding Auditor(Multispecialty Coding EM IP/ EM OP/ED Profee / ED Facility/Anaesthesia/SDS/Surgery Profee/IP-DRG)Location: ChennaiKey ResponsibilitiesAbstract pertinent information from patient medical records.Validate assigned CPT/Modifiers/HCPCS/ ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS codes accurately as per the Medical record documentation.Remain current on medical coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements.Check chart assignments every day and report accurately.Identify and apply the various payor guidelines related to multispecialty coding & billing guidelines and provide recommendations to avoid the denials upfrontComply with the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by the American Health Information Management Association and adhere to official coding guidelines.Document audit findings and provide audit feedback to codersSummarize and validate audit findings and present the same with the client and cross functional team periodically through email and callsIdentify the coding error trends and document for Training / FeedbackIdentify the coding documentation improvement opportunities and highlight the same by provider which is presentable to clientParticipate in scheduled provider education calls toeducate the providers from coding/documentation opportunities found as part of the audits Analyse the coding trends and documentation frombilling and compliance perspective and provide recommendations to clientWork out the audit submission plan by week and adhere to the committed timelines. Ensure the audit volumes completion timelyReport work-related concerns to assigned Team Lead/AM.Comply with HIPAA laws and regulations.Participate in testing and training as required by the Company.Responsible for analysing the medical charts, assigning the codes by maintaining high accuracy and achieving more than 100% productivity goals.Ensure that the deliverables to the client adhere to the quality standards.Ready to work in flexible shift timings.Skill SetEM IP/EM OP/ED Profee /ED Facility/SDS/Surgery Profee/IP_DRG coding experience with extensive ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS knowledge.Good command and effectively knowledge about Human anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, and all systems of Human body.Preferably at least 6-12 months experience in Coding auditsShould have experience in prominent coding and billing software and coding tools.Should be familiar with CPT, HCPCS, Modifiers, ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS Medical necessity, LCD lookup, NCCI edits, CMS RVU, Bundling edits, MUECertified from AAPC/AHIMA - CCS/CCS-P/CPMA/ CPC/COC/CEDC/CEMC certifiedQualificationsAny Life science graduate - BAMS, BHMS, BDS, BPT/MPT, B Pharm/M Pharm, B.Sc./M.Sc (Nursing/Nutrition/Zoology/Biology/Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Biotechnology/Genetics/Physcian Assistant, etc).Additional SkillsDisciplined, Positive attitude, and Punctuality.Strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills, and ability to effectively work with employees. Should have an aptitude to learn new things. Ability to read, write, and perform basic computer operation.
