It provides services on a stand-alone basis, independently from other Client affiliates.The services offered by FS include:\xc2\xa7 Accounting support including financial reporting\xc2\xa7 Investor Services\xc2\xa7 Tax Services\xc2\xa7 Middle Office support\xc2\xa7 Analytics\xc2\xa7 Corporate Secretary Services\xc2\xa7 StratumSM, investor transparency reporting.Job PurposeThe Financial Reporting team is responsible for the delivery of financial statements to our hedge fund clients. The global team is based in Mumbai and Glasgow. The Associate will report to the Financial Reporting Manager, and will assist in the preparation of financial statements of hedge funds under US GAAP, UK GAAP and IFRS. The Associate will be a member of an existing team and will work with the team in providing timely deliverables, for the interim and year-end audits.The position requires strong knowledge in preparing financial statement of investment companies per US GAAP/IFRS, accounting skills and good knowledge of securities and derivative products.Principal Responsibility:\xc2\xb7 Work efficiently with financial reporting team to support them in timely delivery of financial statements to the Hedge Fund clients of FS, which will comply with US GAAP/ IFRS, for both annual audits, and interim reports.o Preparing financials from supporting documents.o Preparing Condensed Schedule of Investments (CSoI)o Preparing Statement of Cash Flowso Assisting auditors and ensuring the smooth audit of the financial statements by providing valid backup data for every figure presented in the financial statementso Analytical and Interpretational skills\xc2\xb7 Team responsibilities include:o Good communication skills.o Ensure the financial statements are provided within the deadlines .o Follow internal control policies and procedures.Personal AttributesThe successful candidate is likely to possess the following attributes:-AttributesEducation/Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting. \xc2\xb7 Fully completed Accounting qualification/certification e.g. CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.Experience \xc2\xb7 Freshers or 0 to 2 years PQE in auditing or financial reporting is preferable. Experience in Public accounting or Hedge Fund Administration is a distinct advantage.Skill and Abilities \xc2\xb7 Ability to draw financials of investment companies per US GAAP/IFRS \xc2\xb7 Ability to multi-task; \xc2\xb7 Accuracy and efficiency in tasks performed; \xc2\xb7 Client focused, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; \xc2\xb7 Ability to communicate effectively across cultures; \xc2\xb7 Ability to identify issues and escalate in time; \xc2\xb7 Flexible approach to duties and hours of work.
