Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (QS) / Estimator - Interior Fit-Out

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor (QS) / Estimator with extensive experience in interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and estimating, with a proven track record of successfully managing costs and budgets for interior fit-out projects of varying scales.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out projects based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation.
• Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and pricing analysis to determine material, labour, and subcontractor costs.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and procurement teams to develop cost-effective solutions and value engineering options.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness and quality.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or deviations.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Provide timely and accurate cost advice to support decision-making and risk management initiatives.
• Participate in tendering processes, including reviewing tender documents, attending site visits, and preparing tender submissions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory requirements to inform cost planning and estimating practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator in the interior fit-out industry.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
• Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, PMP) is a plus.
