Job Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team in Trivandrum . The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of experience in the field of quantity surveying, preferably in construction projects. The role requires expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and maintaining project records.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct site measurements and manage the preparation of quantities.
• Assist in the preparation of BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and ensure their accuracy.
• Monitor project costs and assist in tracking the budget to ensure the project stays within financial limits.
• Prepare contract documents and ensure the legal aspects of contracts are adhered to.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to obtain quotes and maintain project schedules.
• Prepare interim payment certificates for contractors.
• Participate in cost analysis and evaluate changes in project scope and assess their impact on cost and schedule.
• Maintain a detailed record of all project costs and assist in project financial reporting.

Key Requirements :

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of quantity takeoff , cost estimation , and BOQ preparation .
• Good understanding of construction drawings and project specifications.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and standard procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of construction project management software.
• Familiarity with local market rates and suppliers in the Trivandrum area .
