Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor (QS)/ Billing Engineer(Civil) , you will play a crucial role in the construction project lifecycle by managing all aspects related to billing, cost estimation, and quantity surveying. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate billing, cost control, and adherence to project budgets.
Responsibilities:
1 . Billing Management :
Prepare detailed billing statements and invoices based on completed work, materials used, and other project expenses.
Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes promptly.
2. Cost Estimation:
Estimate project costs for labour, materials, equipment, and other resources required for construction activities.
Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and accuracy in cost estimates.
Provide input during the pre-construction phase to optimize project budgets and cost-effectiveness.
3. Quantity Surveying:
Conduct on-site surveys to quantify and assess the required materials, labor, and resources for construction projects.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on project specifications and drawings.
Monitor and report on material usage, wastage, and inventory management throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Cost Control:
Monitor project expenses and budgets, identifying cost overruns or potential savings opportunities.
Implement cost control measures to optimize project spending and maintain profitability.
Work closely with project teams to forecast and track project costs, providing regular reports and updates to stakeholders.
5. Contract Administration:
Review contract documents and specifications to ensure billing and cost estimation compliance.
Assist in negotiating contract terms related to billing, payment schedules, and cost variations.
Maintain accurate records of contractual agreements, change orders, and other relevant documentation.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on billing and cost-related matters.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address queries, resolve issues, and facilitate smooth project progress.
- Provide timely updates and reports on billing, cost estimation, and quantity surveying activities to project stakeholders.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Billing Engineer, or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
• Proficiency in billing systems, and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with relevant construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
• Local candidate of Vadodara will be given priority.
• Ready to join immediately or within 15 days.
