Qualcomm Hardware Application Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the potential application of company products that meet and exceed customer needs.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.Job Title: Engineer QCAE BoardsJob OverviewQualcomms Corporate Engineering is looking for an Engineer with good exposure on PCB Domain and should have hands on experience of Design software of Xpedition and Allegro flows.Candidate is expected to know multiple Tools of PCB, so to provide Tech Support. a strong understanding of VBS/skill/TCL/Python to build Custom Features on a Tool is essential.Selected candidate will be a part of QCAE (Qualcomm Computer Aided Engineering) Team, having to own responsibility of providing support of PWB Design Tools addressing Queries over Tickets/Calls/Chat/in-person visit to a customer. Expected to have Hands on experience Tool customization (Automation) and should have strong mindset to upgrade skills on multiple Design Tools and to stretch on a quick learning curve to understand Qualcomm Design standards with a skill to do Project Consulting, Conduct Workshops/Training for Qualcomm's substantial large user base spread across the Geo locations.QCAE supports the tools such as Cadence Allegro, Mentor Xpedition, Pads, Valor and other Design & Manufacturing EDA Tools used in-house to do Board Designs. The candidate is expected to have full proficiency on various board design tools (Cadence & Mentor) with a substantial exposure on Xpedition flow with fair understanding of Allegro, OrCAD CIS, Concept HDL.It is expected that the candidate will be proficient enough on various EDA tools with multiple years of experiences on design and/or simulation activities. The candidate is expected to support the needs across multiple geographic regions. And working effectively across organizational boundaries is essential, along with the effective communication and presentation skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills are the defacto requirements for enabling the candidate to work on a challenging technical environment. The candidate will interface with Internal Tool users and with Vendor partners to meet the Support needs across Geo.Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years in Design/Support roles using Xpedition & Allegro Tools.
• 2+ years of coding experience on scripting using VBS/skill/TCL/Python
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good understanding of MS Office Tools and Presenting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of PCB Tools Xpedition Layout, Designer, Library Manager& Allegro PCB Layout, Concept HDL, OrCAD CIS (a must to have skill)
• Experience in working on Tech Support role like an Application Engineer (a must to have skill)
• Exposure to Linux OS in terms of managing file Systems and Tool Deployments.
• Prior experience on creating minor custom scripts using VBS/skill/TCL/Python (a must to have skill)
• Strong problem solving/ debugging skills on Tools and custom codes.
• Effectively communicates and updates the status and roadblocks within Team.
• Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Should be self-motivated that needing minimal supervision.
