Description :SummaryThe QC Specialist is responsible for delivering quality localized products to the client. The QC Specialist needs to manage upfront QC, review the original source document, and typeset target document as per localization requirements, complete document comparisons, and review the final translated files in compliance with project and client-specific instructions.Essential Duties + Responsibilities

• Review the document for all the assigned projects by comparing the final localized material with the source for

consistency. * Compare layout of source and translated documentation to ensure accuracy by adhering to standard and client-specific instructions.

• Perform Upfront QC of the source files as per the project/PM instructions.
• Mark up the comments in the target files appropriately, accurately, and intelligibly.
• Typeset and review documents according to guidelines specified by Clients, Project Managers, or other relevant

managers. * Review final output product to ensure the highest quality on delivery.

• Manage schedule of projects effectively, efficiently, and prioritize by project due date.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, Project Coordinators, and Project Managers.
• Share project-related information with co-workers as needed and raise all foreseeable/present issues with Project

Coordinators/Project Managers. * Meet the project deadlines that are defined by Project Managers/Project Coordinators. Ensure clear communication if project deadlines are potentially at risk.

• Meet the agreed productivity expectations, performance standards and escalate any process issues with QC Lead and

QC Department Manager. * Maintain Project Tracking Sheet, ETS, and productivity logs, as required.

• Engage with DTP regarding recommended edits to document as per client/project requirements.
• Take ownership of personal learning and training requirements to understand the company services, client

requirements, and new technologies. * Promote knowledge sharing within the QC department as well as the Production department.

• Contribute to the development of QC processes and documentation.
• Other duties, as reasonably requested.

Education, Experience + Skills

• Degree in a related field (Quality Control, Desktop Publishing, L10N, English, Technical Writing, Linguistics, etc.) is

preferred. * Must be professional, able to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.

• Must be able to interact and work as a team with other employees and managers.
• Produce high-quality work with close attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Windows and/or Mac OS required.
• Strong technical abilities in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of the following applications required: Adobe Acrobat, GlobalVision (or other comparison tools), and other

QC and DTP applications. * Experience in linguistics or global languages is a plus.

• Knowledge of CAT tools is an advantage.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
