Job Summary

The Opportunity

As a QC Microbiologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products through microbiological testing and analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about microbiology and quality control within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or food industries. Responsible for completing product quality checks. Conducts routine testing and analysis of production work. Quality checks are typically reviewed for accuracy. Documents quality control issues as needed.

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for

• Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field. Master\'s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Microbiologist in a quality control or related role within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or food industries.

How you will thrive and create an impact

• Perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental samples, following established protocols and procedures.
• Conduct microbiological analysis, including but not limited to microbial enumeration, identification, and antimicrobial effectiveness testing.
• Perform sterility testing, endotoxin testing, and microbial limit testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Document test results accurately and maintain comprehensive records in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Investigate and troubleshoot out-of-specification (OOS) or out-of-trend (OOT) results, and propose corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Production, and Quality Assurance, to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in microbiological testing methods and technologies.
• Participate in internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
• Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, including aseptic technique, microbial identification, microbial enumeration, and environmental monitoring.
• Experience with compendial microbiological testing methods, such as USP, EP, and JP.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and requirements, including FDA, EU, ICH and local india guidelines.
• Proficiency in using microbiology laboratory equipment, such as incubators, autoclaves, spectrophotometers, and microscopes.
• Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 or ISO 13485, is desirable.
