Position Overview:
As a QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality, compliance with standards, and adherence to project requirements. This role involves overseeing quality throughout the production and manufacturing processes, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards and foster continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Quality Assurance:
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and documentation.
• Conduct audits of processes, products, and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP).
• Establish and monitor KPIs for quality and performance.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for defects or deviations from specifications.
• Test and calibrate equipment and tools to ensure operational accuracy.
• Approve or reject materials, semi-finished, and finished products based on quality standards.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and audits.
• Prepare quality reports and provide data analysis for continuous improvement.
• Review and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Problem Solving:
• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality challenges.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and industry-specific standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 9001, ASME).
• Participate in third-party audits and certifications as required.
• Training & Development:
• Train staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
• Safety and Risk Management:
• Monitor and ensure workplace compliance with safety protocols.
• Identify potential risks and recommend measures to mitigate them.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in QA/QC within manufacturing, production, or a similar environment.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with quality tools (e.g., Six Sigma, SPC), standards (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP), and methodologies.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
• Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and relevant software.
Key Competencies:
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools and testing methods.
• Leadership and ability to drive quality initiatives.
Additional Requirements:
• Certification in quality management systems (e.g., CQE, CQA, Lean Six Sigma) is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work on-site and travel for inspections as needed.
