Position Overview:The QA & Testing Advisor is responsible for strategizing and implementing QA practices and process across the PBM organization. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and adhering to Safe agile practices. The candidate will work with the team in designing and ensuring overall integrity of the testing strategy. The QA will also work closely with Software Developers and other testers in small scrum teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Specific duties and responsibilities include creating, comparing and manipulating data, creating, maintaining and executing test plans and test cases, estimating test efforts, analyzing and communicating test results, defect tracking and participating in day-to-day testing activities. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring regression test scripts are current and are in the appropriate format for automation.Responsibilities:

• Be a part of an ongoing effort to bring new testing knowledge and methodologies to the team
• Works with business partners and IT staff to establish and maintain a consistent testing methodology
• Identify and prepare complex test data to support the test cases defined by the team
• Design a comprehensive testing strategy & build test suites
• Design, develop and maintain regression test beds and schedule test cycles
• Leverage the testing process and test tool kit to create re-usable test sets
• Ensure regression scripts are in appropriate format for automation
• Test execution-manual and automated
• Perform UAT of functional requirements
• Utilize appropriate testing tools
• Assist in the coordination of User Acceptance testing (UAT) and End to End (E2E) testing
• Validate and report progress, risks, issues and defects to agile team
• Communicates with business partners and agile team members throughout the project life cycle, to assist and support the design, development and implementation of effective systems and deliverables
• Be an active participant during PI Planning, retrospective and daily stand-up meetings and business demonstrations
• Participates in the review of QA procedures and processes and the development of QA metrics for assessing the quality delivered application software or systems.
• Support all post implementation activities, such as post implementation testing and lessons learned analysis

QualificationsRequired Skills:

• Proficiency with most of the following technologies- test automation, IBM Mainframe, JCL, COBOL, CA7, Teradata (is a plus)
• Testing and triaging of defects and issues.
• Knowledge of defect tracking / task tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of build automation and deployment tools such as Jenkins as well as source code repository tools such as Git.
• Good understanding of multiple test automation frameworks
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly and solve problems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Strong influencing/negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal/relationship skills.
• Strong time and project management skills.

Required Experience & Education:

• 8+ years of experience, experience with automation testing is highly desirable.
• Experience with vendor management in an onshore/offshore model.
• Experience within Agile development environment (Sprint planning, demos and retrospectives, and other sprint ceremonies).
• Bachelors degree or higher strongly preferred in Business or Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
