Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience, proficient in developing automated test scripts using Python. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery. You will work closely with the development and QA teams to implement test strategies and automate manual testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks using Python.
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, PyTest, or Robot Framework) to validate web applications, APIs, and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, and DevOps) to define test plans, strategies, and requirements.
• Ensure continuous integration and testing by integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Write reusable, scalable, and maintainable test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Identify, log, and track bugs and issues using tools like JIRA or similar.
• Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Contribute to code reviews and collaborate on improving the overall code quality.
• Create detailed documentation of test cases, results, and bug reports.
• Develop strategies to improve testing coverage and efficiency.
• Stay updated with the latest testing trends, tools, and best practices in automation testing.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in Python web development, with a strong understanding of back-end technologies.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with Python for writing automated test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, PyTest, or Robot Framework.
• Familiarity with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) tools such as Cucumber or Behave.
• Proficient in testing web applications, APIs (REST and SOAP), and microservices.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and experience integrating automated tests into pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaboration tools (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Knowledge of performance, load, and security testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for testing.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Scrum/Kanban environments.
