Job Overview:


We are seeking a meticulous and highly skilled QA Tester to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing large volumes of data from source systems to our Microsoft Fabric Delta Lakehouse. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and the ability to create and execute automated tests using SQL, Python, and industry-standard open source tools and libraries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Testing :
+ Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests to validate data integrity and quality from source systems to the Microsoft Fabric Delta Lakehouse.
+ Design and implement data validation strategies to ensure accurate data migration and transformation.
+ Perform comprehensive data testing, including data completeness, data accuracy, and data consistency checks.

• Automation :
+ Utilize SQL and Python to create automated test scripts.
+ Implement and manage automated testing frameworks and tools such as Apache Airflow, Great Expectations, and pytest to streamline the QA process.
+ Ensure that automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing.

• Quality Assurance :
+ Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
+ Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in data.
+ Collaborate with development and data engineering teams to resolve issues and improve data quality.

• Data Architecture and Warehousing :
+ Apply a thorough understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices in testing scenarios.
+ Work closely with data architects and engineers to understand the data flow and architecture within the Delta Lakehouse.
+ Ensure that data warehousing solutions are tested for performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Documentation and Reporting :
+ Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.
+ Provide regular reports on test progress, coverage, and quality metrics.
+ Participate in QA team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience :
+ Proven experience as a QA Tester, specifically in data testing within data warehousing and big data environments.
+ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric Delta Lakehouse or similar data lakehouse technologies.
+ Extensive experience in developing and executing automated tests using SQL and Python.
+ Proficiency with automated test tools such as Apache Airflow, Great Expectations, and pytest.

• Skills :
+ Strong knowledge of SQL and data querying techniques.
+ Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL processes.
+ Understanding of data architecture principles and data warehousing best practices.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
+ Experience in testing data visualization tools(PowerBI) is a plus.
