Creates, executes and maintains tests according to test scripts and test plans.
Is required to test either front end or back end software components (or both) and apply industry best practice.
Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, and debugs software solutions.
Reports issues found back to development and/or project management teams and/or implementation teams.
May be required to develop and maintain testing tools to be used by the broader team.
May also specialize in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and/or Process Improvement.Your role and responsibilities:

• Review system requirements and create test plan and test cases to verify the system meets all the requirements.
• Report issues found back to development and/or project management teams and/or implementation teams.
• Conduct a range of quality control tests and analyses ensuring all problems are resolved and that software meets or exceeds specified standards, development specifications or client requirements.
• Crafts test data with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow.
• Implement automation scripts or revises existing scripts to assist the testing.
• Record testing evidence and produce testing report after each testing phase.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a strong experienced team delivering complex technology solutions to international clients. You will work with and learn from subject matter experts, and have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress within the team. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Chennai, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.Furthermore, you will:

• Use expertise when collaborating with internal or external team members to plan applicable test phases, to ensure that all are successfully completed and documented and there is a plan for problem resolution.
• Develop and maintain the quality of products and processes, including standard procedures and methods.

We expect you to have ?

• At least 7+ years of experience working with both Automated and Manual testing.
• A strong background in quality assurance processes across end to end development lifecycle.
• Excellent background in test planning, test case design, execution of user acceptance testing and regression testing of sophisticated functional and non-functional features.
• Ability to work outside of testing principles i.e. able to create test cases and plans without proper requirements or acceptance criteria.
• Must be familiar with Linux operating systems, Shell scripting
• Must have strong experience in Test Automation (Selenium)
• Must have strong experience in creating test automation pipeline using groovy and Jenkins
• Must have ability to program in Java
• An analytical thinker with a structured approach, a great teammate and someone who has a goal for improving business standard processes and a passion for problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills; emphasis on ability to identify and question vague requirements as well as being comfortable in presenting testing strategies in front of any audience.

• Education Required: Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Special Qualifications: Specialist certifications in QA/Testing methodology.
