Brief Position Description:

This Functional Quality Assurance role is critical to the software development process. The ideal candidate should have experience in Correspondent Banks and/or Corporate Credit Union payment processing. Being curious, flexible, and detail-oriented is a must.

This position will work within a cross functional team throughout the software development lifecycle and as such excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Job Responsibilities

Work as a part of software development team to analyze and interpret software requirements.

Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on the software requirements and changes.

Estimate, prioritize, and plan the work needed for functional QA activities.

Work with the development and product teams to ensure that testing plans successfully exercise for errors and normal daily processing.

Identify, record, document, and track issues within the products.

Perform regression tests as issues are resolved.

Capture errors/bugs and be able to reproduce them for development team.

Track and maintain testing results and metrics.

Desired Knowledge, Education, and Experience

Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, in a business field such as Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.

3-5 years of functional experience

AAP and/or NCP certification is a plus.

Working knowledge of quality assurance and quality assurance methodologies.

Familiarity with accounting and reconciliation procedures; ACH, FedWire, and X9.37 file formats; ACH processing, including originations, returns, NOCs, and risk; ICL check processing, including returns and adjustments.

An understanding of Instant Payments (RTP and FedNow) and ISO 20022 is a plus.
