We create Fast Data Planes in an SDN system integrating dynamic Network Application products. We protect customers against growing threats of cyber-attacks and cyber terrorism.Partner with the bestAs a Senior Lead QA Engineer at Akamai, you\'ll focus on testing DDoS defense and network cloud firewall systems, leading efforts to ensure performance, reliability, scalability, security, and functionality. Initially hands-on, you\'ll mentor team members, assist in project planning, and collaborate on test automation strategies using Python-based infrastructure. Opportunities exist for career growth into software development or managerial roles.As a Q/A Engineer Senior Lead, you will be responsible for:

• Being a technical lead and providing mentorship for other test engineers
• Developing, publishing, and implementing test plans & test cases. Understanding, extending, and maintaining test automation
• Performing various tests to verify and validate new and existing features
• Managing full software QA cycles, including gathering specs, creating test plans, running automated and manual tests.
• Working with the QA and Engineering teams in the design and implementation of test automation tools
• Designing, implementing, and supporting the infrastructure and test environments used for automated testing of complex systems
• Reviewing business needs, requirements, and technical specifications. Participating in technical design reviews

Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:

• Have minimum 5 years\' experience in Developing or testing network software applications
• Have minimum 5 years\' experience with internet/security protocols (TCP/UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS, IPSec)
• Be able to work in Linux/Unix environments. Have competency in a scripting language such as python
• Demonstrate experience with Internet security, firewalls, and encryption technologies
• Demonstrate experience with one or more agile approaches and ceremonies from: scrum, kanban, lean, extreme programming
• Show familiarity with test tools and continuous integration systems, such as Jenkins
