QA Engineer - AAO - Amadeus Cloud Use Service Role context:


The vision of AAO (Airport IT and Airline Operations) is to become the leading industry platform in airline and airport operations, that will provide a seamless and personalized passenger experience, an optimized airport operation, and automated disruption resolution between airlines, airports, air traffic control.


In AAO, the ACUS (Amadeus Cloud Use Service) department provides a common use platform hosted in MS Azure, used by agents of any airline at check-in and boarding counters, to process passengers using a common platform and common set of end devices (printers, scanners).

It's also preparing the (r)evolution of our passenger processing solutions.


ACUS is a platform operated on the Cloud (MS Azure), built by different components and different technologies. As QA engineer you will have the opportunity to improve the quality of all the different components, to achieve a high quality and successful product!


We are looking for a test automation QA engineer with ability to develop test scripts. Don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any question or are interested in knowing more about the position!

Technology environment : Java, Spring boot, PowerShell, Windows OS (server and client), Cloud (Azure), REST APIs, Ansible, AWX, Git/Jenkins, Splunk, ITarian

Accountabilities:



Test expertise:

• Define test strategy and test plan containing test cases (functional and non-functional), ensure traceability with specifications and customer requirements,
• Ensure compliance of test strategy with CI/CD guidelines, Green IT guidelines and all quality guidelines (SDL, STDL), QA best practices/standards from the industry (ISTQB...),
• Design test cases and write test case scripts.
• Prepare test environment, test data, and execute test cases.
• Provide sign-off (go/no-go) on tested features based on defined exit criteria.
• Continuously assess the need to add/update/remove test cases to existing regression and CI/CD pipeline when new product features are delivered and based on metrics (stabilization, deletion of flaky tests...).


Test automation:

• Understand, maintain and improve the test automation framework.
• Assess necessity to automate manual tests.
• Develop new scripts and maintain installed base.


Defect management:

• Open defects for software or documentation, assign relevant level of severity based on the importance of the issue, provide relevant investigation and information in order to fix defects.
• Check defect fix and give go/no-go for the load of production defects.
• As part of maintenance activities, investigate PTRs, test the fixes, and enrich test suites accordingly.



Technicity:

• Efficiently use QA tooling stack and frameworks : Octane, Playwright/Robot framework, Postman
• Experienced on automation/scripting: PowerShell, Bash scripting, Python, Java/JavaScript
• CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, Sonar
