QA Developer

Role purpose
Seeking for bright, enthusiastic QA Developer to ensure the quality of the flagship Trading platforms.
As a Cross-Platform QA Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compatibility of our software applications across multiple platforms and devices. You you will be working as part of a an Agile/Scrum development team with Fintech business domain. You will be writing automated tests that will have immediate impact on our client-facing trading platform, helping to reduce the manual effort executed by the in-sprint team and cooperating with colleagues across the world. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of various platforms, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. The role will give you the chance to work with modern technologies for Mobile (iOS/Android) and Web Frontend and Backend.

What you will do

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for validating software applications across multiple areas, including middleware, web platforms, and mobile devices.
• Collaborate with software developers and designers to understand platform-specific requirements and ensure that applications are compatible with various operating systems, browsers, and devices.
• Conduct functional, compatibility, performance, and usability testing of software applications across different platforms, identifying and documenting defects, issues, and potential risks.
• Perform regression testing to validate the impact of software updates and changes on cross-platform compatibility.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools for efficient and reliable cross-platform testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage, prioritize, and resolve defects and issues, facilitating timely resolution and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Stay up to date with emerging platforms, devices, and operating systems, and leverage this knowledge to enhance cross-platform testing processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to establish and maintain quality standards and processes across the organization.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to developers regarding platform-specific considerations and best practices.
• Contribute to continuously improving QA practices, tools, and frameworks within the organization.

• Proven experience as a QA Developer, Cross-Platform Tester, or similar role, with a focus on testing software applications across multiple platforms.
• Energetic and analytical approach to problem-solving
• Good understanding of continuous integration by using Bamboo or Jenkins
• Good programming skills in either Java/Swift/Kotlin
• Firm believer in the value of agile development methodologies, Test Driven Development, and Continuous Delivery
• Analyze and report test results, defects, and issues, and collaborate with development teams to facilitate their resolution.
• Perform regression testing to validate the impact of software updates, patches, and configuration changes on middleware systems.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in quality assurance, and apply this knowledge to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, and regression testing.
• Experience with test automation frameworks, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and version control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and troubleshoot platform-specific challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks and tools, such as XCTest, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous integration/testing processes.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience with usability testing, accessibility testing, or security testing.
• Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) practices.
