The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design and implementation of automated testing solutions. The QA Automation Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test scenarios, create automated test scripts, and contribute to the overall improvement of our testing processes. Key Responsibilities: Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Create and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, and performance testing. Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with QA and development teams to define test strategies, test plans, and test cases. Contribute to the identification and prioritization of test scenarios for automation. Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline. Ensure the automated tests provide fast and reliable feedback to the development team. Defect Reporting and Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects using a defect tracking system. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues. Performance Testing: Design and implement performance test scenarios to evaluate the scalability and reliability of software applications. Analyse performance test results and provide recommendations for improvements. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project requirements. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automated test scripts, test scenarios, and testing processes. Contribute to the development and maintenance of testing standards and best practices. Test Environment Setup: Assist in the setup and maintenance of test environments, including test data preparation and configuration. Additional Note: What is Uplers\'s role in this arrangement Uplers is the on-the-ground partner managing services like talent sourcing, employment contracts, payroll, and compliance. Uplers serves as the Employer of Record while Welspun managers all work-related decisions, performance measures and operations. Mode of Work: Onsite Office, Ahmedabad (No Remote or Hybrid) Round of Interviews: 2 Interview will be at Welspun\'s Ahmedabad office on 7 Feb and 8 Feb 2024 This Role Requires: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 3 to 6 years of proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer. Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG). Strong programming skills, preferably in languages such as Java, Python, or C#. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins). Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
