Position: QA Automation Engineer (Java and Microservices)
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months Contract

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer/SDET with expertise in Core Java/J2EE , API automation , and microservices testing . The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of BDD concepts and hands-on experience with UI automation tools like Cypress and TOSCA. This role is remote and offers a long-term opportunity for growth and contribution to cutting-edge software testing projects.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Core Java and J2EE .
• Perform end-to-end testing of APIs and microservices to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Implement and manage BDD frameworks using tools such as Cucumber .
• Conduct UI automation testing using tools like Cypress , TOSCA , or similar tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers, to define and implement testing strategies.
• Identify, report, and track bugs in a structured manner, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
• Write and execute automated test scripts, ensuring maximum test coverage.
• Monitor and manage automation pipelines integrated with CI/CD workflows.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

• 5+ years of experience in automation testing with a focus on Core Java/J2EE.
• Strong expertise in API automation and testing microservices .
• Experience with BDD concepts and tools like Cucumber .
• Hands-on experience with UI automation tools such as Cypress , TOSCA , or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation with deployment workflows.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Skills :

• Knowledge of additional automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and containerized applications is desirable.
• Exposure to performance testing and tools like JMeter or Gatling is a bonus.

Education :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to ?100,000.00 per month
