This position participates in the evaluation and prioritization of customer/user requests. The Senior Managers main focus will be for applications enhancements to the system as needed to ensure proper processing of the systems and require some production support duties. Assigns projects, research and work assignments to team members and directs activities, providing functional guidance and completing individual tasks as needed. The Senior Manager has full accountability for the work of all team members and also represents, strategizes, and promotes methodologies and processes across IT and devises improvements to the current processes. This person will require a strong technical background in any QA automation (like Selenium or TypeScript or similar tech) and will be responsible for providing timely feedback to their team members and assisting their leadership with year-end calibration and identification of high performersResponsibilities:

  • Manages a functional team in one or more sites.
  • Works to develop employees skills, evaluates performance provides feedback, and oversees resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Ensures projects are completed within designated time frames and tracks and reports progress to upper management.
  • Continual improve upon current monitoring both in production and non-production environments.
  • Responsible for driving all technical and functional issues towards closure.
  • Diagnosis, investigation, resolution, coordination with business, application owners, and infrastructure support
  • Coordinate with support for application bug/ enhancement requirements.
  • Consults with business and other IT management to evaluate user requests and clarify objectives for projects and initiatives.
  • Develops annual initiatives and specific deliverables for their team.
  • Oversees determination of feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current policies, procedures, and functions.
  • Completes projects and initiatives as assigned, coordinating their team resources and resources in different departments.
  • Provides assistance to IT team and QA team members needing their expertise and knowledge.
  • Mentors and provides on-the-job training for new of less experienced team members.
  • Works with IT Management team to analyze operations and efficiency of the IT group and recommend process improvements.
  • Works with departmental leadership to develop and implement strategic business work plan goals.
  • Tracks and periodically reports progress to senior management.
  • Assists in budget planning and management for their department.
  • Participates in special projects or task forces as assigned
QualificationsRequired Skills:
  • Previous supervisory experience in leading a QA team or managing a larger cross functional team of non-direct reports.
  • Ability to lead high-talent teams in local and remote locations.
  • Ability to motivate employees, handle difficult employee relations issues and create a culture that supports high employee morale.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions.

Required Experience & Education:
  • 10+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of proven experience leading/managing QA technical teams with a passion for developing the talent within the team.
  • Experience with vendor management in an onshore/offshore model.
  • Proven experience with architecture, designing, and developing large-scale enterprise application solutions.
  • College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.
Desired Experience:
  • Exposure to AWS
  • Healthcare experience including Pharmacy Benefit Management
  • Coaching of team members
Education and Training Required:Primary Skills:
  • Strong people management experience.
  • Manual Testing.
  • Automation Testing.
Additional Skills:
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge and / or experience with Health care information domains is a plus.
