Job Title : QA Analyst - Functional Automation & Performance Testing (Open Source Tools)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum Experience :

5+ years of QA automation experience with web and mobile-based applications.

Strong understanding of shipping, port, trade, or logistics domain is mandatory.

Job Specific Skills:

• Basic QA certification is preferred.
• Experience in functional automation and performance testing using open source tools.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools and service desk applications.
• Exposure to manual testing practices, focusing on improving overall product quality.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:

• Functional Automation Testing: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for both web and mobile applications using open source tools, ensuring all critical functionalities are tested efficiently.
• Performance Testing: Plan and execute performance testing of various applications using open source tools like JMeter, analysing system performance under different load conditions and providing insights for optimizations.
• Requirements Analysis & Test Planning: Participate in requirements gathering activities in collaboration with business analysts and stakeholders to understand the software features and prepare comprehensive test plans.
• Manual Testing: Conduct manual testing activities as needed, focusing on edge cases and user experience to identify critical issues that may not be captured by automated scripts.
• Defect Tracking & Reporting: Administer and maintain the defect tracking tool used during the project phase, document testing outcomes, and communicate defects and suggested corrections clearly with the development team.
• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to resolve issues. Suggest improvements to processes and tools to enhance the testing workflow.
• Documentation: Document program evaluations, testing steps, test cases, and suggested corrections during various stages of testing.

Tools & Technologies :

Functional Automation Tools: Selenium, Appium, Cypress

Performance Testing Tools: JMeter,

Defect Tracking & Management Tools: Jira,

Version Control Systems: Git

API Tools Postman, SoapUI

CI/CD :Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools to integrate automated tests into the build pipeline.

Programming languages : Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or JavaScript or Java to support test automation.
