Job Description

Python Engineer


We are looking for an expert in machine learning to help us extract value from our data using


Python. You will lead all the processes from data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing, to


training models and deploying them to production.


The ideal candidate will be passionate about artificial intelligence and stay up to date with the


latest developments in the field.


Duties and Responsibilities


1. Understanding business objectives and developing models that help to achieve them,


along with metrics to track their progress.


2. Managing available resources such as hardware, data, and personnel so that deadlines


are met.


3. Analyzing the ML algorithms that could be used to solve a given problem and ranking


them by their success probability.


4. Exploring and visualizing data to gain an understanding of it, then identifying


differences in data distribution that could affect performance when deploying the


model in the real world


5. Verifying data quality, and/or ensuring it via data cleaning


6. Supervising the data acquisition process if more data is needed.


7. Finding available datasets online that could be used for training.


8. Defining validation strategies


9. Defining the preprocessing or feature engineering to be done on a given dataset


10. Defining data augmentation pipelines


11. Training models and tuning their hyperparameters


12. Analyzing the errors of the model and designing strategies to overcome them.


13. Deploying models to production


Required Skills and Experience


1. 2+ years of experience applying AI to practical uses.


2. Experience with deep learning, NLP, and TensorFlow


3. Experience writing robust code in Python.


4. Experience in REST API development, NoSQL database design, and RDBMS design


and optimizations.


5. Knowledge of basic algorithms and object-oriented and functional design principles


6. Knowledge of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture


7. Knowledge of math, probability, statistics, and algorithms


8. Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as Keras and PyTorch.


9. Knowledge of machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn.


10. Excellent communication skills


11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
