The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in managing plant consumables, project engineering-related products, and imports within the pharmaceutical or API manufacturing industry. The candidate must have a deep understanding of SAP Purchase Module, excellent negotiation skills, a well- established network, an engineering background, a track record of successfully managing greenfield projects in the API sector, and a strong awareness of SEZ (Special Economic Zone) norms.Responsibilities:\xef\x82\xb7 Lead and oversee all aspects of the procurement function, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships.\xef\x82\xb7 Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company\'s goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability of supplies.\xef\x82\xb7 Manage a diverse range of procurement categories, including plant consumables and project engineering-related products.\xef\x82\xb7 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials.\xef\x82\xb7 Utilize SAP Purchase Module to optimize procurement processes, maintain accurate records, and monitor supplier performance.\xef\x82\xb7 Build and maintain a strong network of suppliers, both domestically and internationally, to secure the best pricing and terms.\xef\x82\xb7 Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to obtain favorable terms and conditions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.\xef\x82\xb7 Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service.\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and industry regulations, including SEZ norms\xef\x82\xb7 Actively participate in greenfield project management, coordinating procurement activities for new API manufacturing projects.\xef\x82\xb7 Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.\xef\x82\xb7 Must have exposure in Capex and OpexEducation:\xef\x82\xb7 Bachelor;s degree in Engineering or a related field.
