Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage the procurement processes for an environmental laboratory, as well as for the production of Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) and Sewage Treatment Plants (STP). This role requires knowledge of environmental engineering products, laboratory consumables, chemicals, machinery components, and related supplies. The Purchase Executive will ensure that the required materials and equipment are sourced and delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all quality and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Management :

Procure raw materials, chemicals, laboratory consumables, air monitoring instrument and components needed for the manufacturing of ETPs and STPs.

Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing, quality standards, and delivery schedules.

Maintain an up-to-date list of approved vendors and suppliers for laboratory and manufacturing needs.

2. Vendor Relationship Management :

Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers to ensure optimal quality, cost, and delivery time.

Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery times, and compliance with contractual agreements.

Resolve any supplier-related issues, ensuring that procurement processes continue smoothly.

3. Inventory Management :

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the relevant departments to ensure timely procurement of required items.

Track and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, ensuring that critical components for Air Monitoring, ETPs, STPs, and lab operations are always available.

Conduct regular audits and maintain accurate inventory records.

4. Compliance & Documentation :

Ensure all procurement activities comply with the organization's environmental policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain detailed records of all purchases, quotations, supplier agreements, and transactions.

Prepare purchase orders, follow up on deliveries, and verify the quality and quantity of received items.

5. Cost Control and Budgeting :

Assist in setting and managing the procurement budget for laboratory and manufacturing operations.

Analyse market trends and recommend cost-effective alternatives for supplies and equipment.

Track and report on cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards.

6. Market Research :

Keep up to date with market trends and new technologies in the environmental sector, particularly in Air, ETP, STP, and laboratory materials.

Explore new suppliers and products that could enhance quality or reduce costs.

7. Reporting :

Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and inventory status.

Provide updates to management on potential supply chain risks and any supply disruptions.

Key Requirements:

• Education : Bachelor's degree in (B.Com, BA ,B.Sci ,BBA,MBA etc.), or a related field.
• Experience : Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the environmental, manufacturing, or laboratory equipment sectors.
• Knowledge :
• Strong understanding of environmental industry requirements, including ETP and STP components, and laboratory chemicals and equipment.
• Familiarity with supplier sourcing, negotiation, and inventory management.
• Knowledge of local and international procurement standards, regulations, and certifications (ISO, etc.).
• Skills :
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Tally) and ERP systems for procurement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
