Job Summary:

The Stores and Purchase Assistant is responsible for managing inventory, procurement of pplies, and ensuring efficient operations in the storage and distribution of goods. This role supports the purchasing department and ensures that all materials and products are acquired and stored according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, ensuring that inventory is replenished as needed.

- Conduct regular stock checks and audits to prevent discrepancies.

- Manage stock locations and ensure that items are stored correctly and safely.

2. Purchasing:

- Assist in the procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment required for the company.

- Evaluate and compare vendor offers and negotiate pricing and terms.

- Create purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.

3. Record Keeping:

- Maintain detailed records of purchases, stock levels, and deliveries.

- Prepare reports on inventory status, purchase transactions, and supplier performance.

- Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in supply chain management or a related field is a plus.

- Proven experience in inventory management or purchasing.

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

- Standing and walking for extended periods.

Work Environment:

- This position may require working in a warehouse or storage facility.

- Occasional travel to supplier locations may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?17,000.00 - ?22,000.00 per month
