The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services necessary for the development and production of our EV 2-wheelers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and industry standards, particularly in the EV or automotive sectors. (Female Candidate Prefers)
Key Responsibilities:
• Source and procure raw materials, components, and services required for the manufacturing of EV 2-wheelers, such as batteries, motors, electronic components, chassis parts, etc.
• Identify and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors, both locally and internationally.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings without compromising on quality.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery timelines, and overall reliability.
• Coordinate with the engineering and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier data.
• Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new technologies in the electric vehicle and automotive industry.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure no interruptions in the supply chain.
• Address any supply chain issues or delays and implement corrective measures when necessary.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely payments and resolve any invoicing discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and government regulations.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive or electric vehicle sector.
• Proven experience in sourcing components for EVs or 2-wheelers is a strong plus.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in SAP or Tally and MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Knowledge of automotive components, especially for electric vehicles.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Understanding of supply chain risks and ability to implement mitigation strategies.
