Profile Summary:

Responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, components, equipment, and services needed for the manufacturing process in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Role & Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Procurement:

Identify potential suppliers and conduct market research to find the best sources of materials and services. Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to obtain the best terms and conditions. Place orders and monitor the delivery process to ensure timely receipt of goods.

Vendor Management

:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with reliable and high-quality vendors. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost metrics. Address and resolve issues or disputes with vendors promptly.

Cost Control:

Seek opportunities for cost savings and negotiate better pricing. Monitor market trends to anticipate changes in material costs.

Inventory Management:

Coordinate with the store department to maintain optimal inventory levels. Ensure that purchased goods align with production schedules and demand.

Quality Assurance:

Verify that purchased materials meet the company's quality standards. Work with the quality department to address any quality issues with vendors.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
