  • Supplier Management:
  • Identify and establish relationships with new suppliers.
  • Maintain and manage existing supplier relationships.
  • Evaluate supplier performance regularly and make necessary adjustments.
  • Procurement Process Management:
  • Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders.
  • Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers to secure the best deals.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage stock levels and reorder as necessary.
  • Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and reduce costs.
  • Cost Management:
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing.
  • Prepare cost analyses and reports for management review.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that all purchased goods and services meet the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to address any issues related to supplier quality.
  • Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to maintain high standards.
  • Contract Management:
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with terms and conditions of contracts.
  • Renew or terminate contracts based on performance and company needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., finance, operations, and logistics) to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational goals.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss procurement needs and strategies.
  • Market Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and products.
  • Stay updated on market trends, changes in demand, and new technologies.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement and supply chain disruptions.
  • Develop contingency plans to manage supply chain risks.
  • Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing:
  • Promote and ensure ethical sourcing practices.
  • Develop and implement sustainable procurement policies.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Good understanding of supply chain management.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of market research and data analysis.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)) is a plus.
