Job Summary:
The Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, furnishings, and equipment required for interior design projects. The role involves sourcing high-quality products, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of interior design materials, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage relationships with suppliers and vendors effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely availability of materials and furnishings required for interior projects.
Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best prices and quality for the company.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts. Ensure that materials are stored properly and available when needed.
Order Placement:
Prepare purchase orders, review supplier invoices, and ensure that orders are placed in accordance with company policies and project requirements.
Cost Control:
Work within budget constraints and seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Provide regular reports on procurement activities and expenses.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all purchased materials meet the required quality standards. Coordinate with the design and project management teams to verify that materials are suitable for the intended use.
Vendor Relations:
Resolve any issues related to deliveries, discrepancies in orders, or quality concerns. Maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure ongoing cooperation.
Market Research:
Stay updated on market trends, new products, and emerging suppliers in the interior design industry. Conduct regular market research to identify potential opportunities.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, supplier contracts, delivery schedules, and payment records.
Compliance:
Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant legal regulations.
Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in BE Civil, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 0 - 6 Months of experience in procurement, preferably in the interior design, construction, or furniture industry.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of interior design materials, furnishings, and equipment.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Strong organizational and time management skills.

Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with occasional site visits to suppliers or project locations.
