: As a Purchase Executive specializing in OSD (Oral Solid Dosage) Pharmaceuticals, you will play a crucial role in procuring raw materials, equipment, and services necessary for the manufacturing and operational needs of the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with relevant regulations. Roles and Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and select suitable vendors and suppliers for raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, and services required for OSD pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Negotiate terms and conditions, pricing, and contracts with vendors to secure favorable agreements while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable and timely delivery of materials and services.
Procurement Planning:
Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast material requirements and develop procurement plans to meet production schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and ensure uninterrupted production.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure that all procured materials and services meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Work closely with the quality assurance team to conduct supplier audits, qualify new vendors, and address quality issues.
Cost Management:
Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize procurement costs without compromising on quality or compliance.
Conduct price analysis, benchmarking, and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and correspondence with vendors.
Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and procedures as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
Communication and Coordination:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, quality assurance, finance, and logistics, to coordinate procurement activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Communicate effectively with vendors regarding order specifications, delivery schedules, and any changes or issues that may arise.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement within the procurement function and implement best practices to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and enhance overall effectiveness.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting procurement practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor\'s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management within the pharmaceutical industry, with specific experience in OSD pharmaceuticals preferred.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, materials, and regulations (e.g., cGMP, FDA requirements).
Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with procurement software/systems.
