Key Responsibilities:
• Procurement Management:
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery speed.
• Issue purchase orders and maintain accurate records of procurement transactions.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet organizational needs.
• Vendor and Supplier Management:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate terms, contracts, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality or delays.
• Inventory and Cost Management:
• Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Analyze procurement costs and suggest strategies to reduce expenditure.
• Identify opportunities for bulk purchases or alternate suppliers for better cost efficiency.
• Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure procurement practices adhere to company policies and relevant regulations.
• Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost analysis, and vendor performance.
• Maintain up-to-date procurement documentation for audit purposes.
• Market Research:
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing strategies.
• Identify new products, technologies, or suppliers that can add value to the organization.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments such as production, finance, and logistics to align procurement activities with overall business objectives.
• Address and resolve any discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and delivery.
