With over 6 years of operation, TAKNEK has successfully executed 600+ projects worldwide, incorporating PLC, SCADA, DCS, and IoT technologies, including features like triple redundancy for mission-critical applications. : TAKNEK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement processes for our USA operations from our India office. This role involves working night shifts in accordance with USA time zones and offers a hybrid working arrangement (50% office, 50% work from home). Key Responsibilities:
Expected Start Date: 17/06/2024
- Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement of materials, components, and equipment necessary for TAKNEK\'s projects and operations in the USA.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods.
- Cost Management: Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
- Order Processing: Handle purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, production, and logistics teams to align purchasing activities with project requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
- Education: BE/ME in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 4-5 years of experience in a purchasing role, preferably within the manufacturing or automation industry.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficient in inventory management and cost control.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work night shifts in alignment with USA time zones.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
